About Us
Vision & Values

At Harlands, our vision is, to give every child the life chances they deserve, remove the fear of failure and barriers to success.

We achieve this through:

  • Mutual respect

  • Learning through mistakes

  • Celebrating individuality and choice

  • Discovering creativity

  • Allowing our children a voice

This encourages our children to feel empowered to change their own lives and their community, ensuring they becomes life-long learners and positive contributors to society.

Our values underpin everything we do.

  • Respectful – Accepting others and building trust, safety, and wellbeing.

  • Responsible – Making good choices and taking accountability.

  • Optimistic – Believing in positive outcomes and success.

  • Kindness – Acting selflessly to benefit others.

  • Tolerant – Respecting differences while not accepting poor behaviour.

  • Critical Thinker – Evaluating, questioning, and understanding perspectives.

  • Confident – Quiet self-belief in abilities.

We aim to set high expectations, be consistent and hold ourselves and others to account. We have a progression of expectations for our values from EYFS to Year 6.
