CurriculumKey Stage 2
In Key Stage 2, we aim to develop confident, resilient and compassionate learners who are well prepared for the opportunities and challenges of secondary education and beyond. Through a broad and engaging curriculum, children explore a wide range of topics and experiences that help them deepen their understanding of the world, broaden their horizons and become active members of both their local and global communities.
Our learning is carefully planned to build on prior knowledge, ensuring children make meaningful connections across subjects and develop a secure understanding of key concepts. Alongside academic achievement, we place great importance on emotional wellbeing, self-belief and a positive growth mindset, helping children to persevere when faced with challenges.
Learning is enriched through educational visits, workshops and wider community opportunities, bringing the curriculum to life and inspiring curiosity and a love of learning.
The Difference We Make
We strive to ensure all children achieve well across both core and foundation subjects while recognising and supporting their individual strengths, interests and starting points. Progress is carefully monitored through assessments, teacher feedback, self-reflection and personalised targets that support academic, social and emotional development.
By the end of Key Stage 2, we want every child to leave as a confident, capable and reflective learner, equipped with the knowledge, skills, resilience and character needed for the next stage of their education and for life beyond the classroom.
