ParentsSchool Meals
All children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 are entitled to a free school meal (Universal Free School Meals – UFSM) in line with Department for Education (DfE) statutory guidance.
We work in partnership with Go!Catering, who deliver a high-quality hot lunch service. This service is:
-
Free for children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 (UFSM entitlement)
-
Available at a modest cost for children in Years 3–6
All arrangements for hot lunches must be made directly with Go!Catering.
To register and book your child’s lunch, please complete the online booking form.
Free School Meals (Years 3–6)
Some children in Years 3–6 may also be entitled to Free School Meals (FSM) if parents/carers receive certain qualifying benefits.
If your child is eligible, you do not have to take up the meal. However, registering eligibility allows the school to receive Pupil Premium funding, which supports:
-
additional learning resources
-
financial support for trips and activities
Applications for Free School Meals should be made via WSCC Free school meals - West Sussex County Council
Packed Lunches
If you choose not to take up a school meal:
-
Parents/carers must provide a healthy, balanced packed lunch
-
Children in EYFS, Year 1 and Year 2 may opt out of UFSM and bring a packed lunch instead
We ask that packed lunches support our commitment to promoting healthy eating in line with DfE and Ofsted expectations.
