Supporting Every LearnerSpecial Educational Needs & Disabilities (SEND)
At our school, we are committed to ensuring that every child feels valued, included and able to thrive. Our SEND provision is underpinned by a strong whole-school inclusive ethos, where high expectations, positive relationships and a genuine understanding of individual needs enable all children to achieve success academically, socially and emotionally.
We support pupils with a wide range of needs, including ADHD, Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), Dyslexia, Dyspraxia, Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, behavioural needs, speech and language difficulties, and the impact of trauma. Our experienced Inclusion Team works in partnership with families, class teachers, specialist agencies and pupils themselves to identify strengths, overcome barriers and promote independence.
A Whole-School Approach to Inclusion
Inclusion is everyone's responsibility. Through Quality First Teaching, all staff adapt learning and classroom practice so that pupils can access the curriculum and make progress from their individual starting points. This is supported by Ordinarily Available Inclusive Practice, ensuring that effective strategies, reasonable adjustments and personalised support are embedded within daily teaching.
Our low-arousal classrooms provide calm, predictable learning environments that help children feel safe, regulated and ready to learn. Staff receive ongoing professional development to ensure they can confidently meet a diverse range of learning, communication and emotional needs.
We carefully monitor progress, attendance, engagement and wellbeing to ensure that support remains effective and responsive. This graduated approach enables us to identify needs early, implement evidence-informed interventions and review impact regularly, which reflects the expectations of the SEND Code of Practice and Ofsted's focus on ambition, inclusivity and positive outcomes for all learners.

Pastoral Support and Wellbeing
We recognise that children learn best when they feel safe, understood and supported. Our pastoral support offer plays a vital role in helping pupils develop resilience, confidence and positive mental health.
The Inclusion Team provides nurturing support for children experiencing anxiety, friendship difficulties, behavioural challenges, trauma or SEMH needs. Through trusted relationships, emotional check-ins, targeted interventions and close collaboration with families, we help children develop strategies to manage challenges and fully engage in school life.
Working in Partnership
Parents and carers are central to the support process. We value open communication and work closely with families to review progress, celebrate success and agree next steps. By combining a culture of inclusion, evidence-informed practice, skilled staff and strong partnerships, we aim to ensure that every child is able to flourish, participate fully in school life and reach their potential.
Our goal is simple: every child is known, every child belongs, and every child is supported to succeed.
