Explorers Breakfast and After-School Club
Whether you require regular childcare or occasional ad hoc sessions, Explorers offers a flexible, affordable and trusted solution for families, combining outstanding care with all of the warmth, familiarity and values that make Harlands such a special place for children to learn and grow.
We are delighted to share the successful launch of our new Explorers Breakfast and After-School Club. The club has got off to a fantastic start, providing a welcoming, engaging and enjoyable environment for our children before and after the school day. The club is based within the familiar surroundings of Harlands Primary School, offering children a safe, nurturing and happy place to start and end their day. Operating from 7.00am until 6.30pm, Explorers provides flexible childcare that supports busy families whilst ensuring children remain in a secure, known environment with trusted adults and familiar friends.
Led by an experienced and caring team, Explorers is fully compliant with all statutory childcare requirements and works closely alongside the school's values of kindness, respect, responsibility, confidence, optimism and critical thinking. Strong relationships between staff, children and parents are at the heart of the provision, helping every child to feel safe, valued and supported. Parents can be reassured that children benefit from a seamless and secure morning handover into school and efficient collection arrangements from school and after-school clubs each day.
Children enjoy a nutritious breakfast to start the day and a hot, freshly prepared evening meal after school, alongside a variety of healthy snacks. Every session offers an exciting range of indoor and outdoor activities, giving children opportunities to play, create, build friendships, develop new skills and most importantly, have fun. Families can choose from regular booked sessions or make use of convenient ad hoc places, all accessed through our simple and user-friendly booking system.
Most importantly, the children have been having a wonderful time and have shared some lovely feedback about their experiences so far:
“I love the games we play. The dinners are really nice too.”
Maddox (Year 3)
“I like playing with the new games and toys.”
George (Year 3)
“We like the snacks that you get when you arrive. We like the choice of play activities and being with different friends. The staff are also really fun and kind.”
Sophia, Elbie and Eva (Year 2)
It is wonderful to hear how much the children are enjoying the wide range of activities, new friendships and caring support from the Explorers team. As the provision continues to grow, we look forward to welcoming even more families and providing high-quality childcare that gives children a positive, enriching and enjoyable experience before and after the school day.
Whether you require regular childcare or occasional ad hoc sessions, Explorers offers a flexible, affordable and trusted solution for families, combining outstanding care with all of the warmth, familiarity and values that make Harlands such a special place for children to learn and grow.
