CurriculumEarly Years
The Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) is a crucial and exciting stage in a child’s development. We work closely with parents and carers to provide a happy, safe and inspiring environment where children feel valued, supported and inspired to learn. We believe that strong partnerships between home and school are key to helping every child flourish and reach their full potential.
We recognise that every child is unique and develops at their own pace. Our experienced staff carefully tailor learning opportunities to meet individual needs, providing the right balance of support and challenge to help children grow in confidence and independence. We encourage children to explore, question, investigate and discover through a combination of child-led play and purposeful adult-guided learning.
The EYFS curriculum is built around seven areas of learning:
Prime Areas
-
Communication and Language
-
Physical Development
-
Personal, Social and Emotional Development
Specific Areas
-
Literacy
-
Maths
-
Understanding the World
-
Expressive Arts and Design
Each day provides rich learning experiences, both indoors and outdoors, where children are encouraged to follow their interests, develop resilience, build positive relationships and become confident learners.
The Difference We Make
Our ambitious and engaging curriculum reflects our school values and supports children in developing the knowledge, skills and attitudes they need for future success. We celebrate every child’s strengths, interests and achievements, helping them to develop confidence, curiosity and a love of learning.
By the end of EYFS, children are well-prepared for the transition to Key Stage 1, equipped with strong foundations in learning, growing independence and the resilience needed to continue their educational journey with enthusiasm and confidence.
